This spring, the Capital Area Farm and Community Connection (CAFCC) will be
publishing a guide to local food. The guide will enable consumers to learn
more about where they can access locally raised produce, meat, eggs, dairy
products, and other items. It will also provide a marketing tool for local
farms that which to sell directly to consumers through farm stands, farmers
markets, CSAs or via local retailers and restaurants. The guide will be
distributed for free throughout Merrimack County with help from the
Concord Monitor and through grant funding from the New Hampshire
Charitable Foundation and First Pioneer Farm Credit’s AgEnhancement
Grant.
Farms within Merrimack County and restaurants and retail stores providing
food which is locally raised who wish to be listed in this guide must
COMPLETE A REGISTRATION FORM BY MARCH 15. This form is available at the
Merrimack County Conservation District website: www.merrimackccd.org or by calling 223-6023.
Listings are free but paid advertisement and sponsorships are also
available. Anticipated distribution will be 12,000 guides. Contact the
